Andorra, officially known as the Principality of Andorra is a micro-state landlocked in the Southern part of Europe. It is bordered to France in the North and Spain to the South. Andorra is the sixth smallest nation in Europe and is known for its scenic ski resorts like Pal and Arinsal. Since it isn’t a part of the European Union, it is a place where you can buy a ton of duty-free products like alcohol and perfume. It also is well known for its football club FC Andorra, where the team is admitted to UEFA, FIFA, and also competes in the Spanish football league system.

Andorra is one of the cheapest countries in Europe which helps in attracting many tourists here. It lies among the eastern Pyrenees mountain range and thus has many hiking trails that tourists can enjoy in summers when the snow is thawed. As Andorra has been a home for Roman Catholics, shrines and festivals are one of the major attractions here. Many old houses, shrines, and churches of the Roman era are some places tourists should not fail to visit. The ‘Our Lady of Meritxell’ is the most famous shrine here. September 8, the festival day of its patroness, is one of the most important festivals here. Pilgrims and Tourists visit the beautiful place on this very day from places like France and Spain to pay homage to the Patroness.
