Suriname is a South American country, officially known as the Republic of Suriname. It lies on the northeastern Atlantic coast and shares its northern border with the Atlantic Ocean. This is the smallest county in South America and was formerly known as the Dutch Guiana. Moreover, the country has a tropical climate with dense rainforests that covers almost 4/5th of the area. This implies the fact that Suriname has wonderful wildlife and incredible natural wonders to cherish.

CUISINE
When it comes to food, Suriname offers a variety of highly flavored cuisines and appetizing delicacies. The food dishes have African, Chinese, Indian, Dutch, Indonesian, and Portuguese influences. Some of the popular dishes include the casserole made with root vegetables and chicken called Pom and a soft textured dessert made from coconut and cassava called Bojo cake. Another refreshing salad of all veggies, Goedangan, is also a Surinamese specialty. People make roti which is usually served along with masala chicken curry. One of the Indonesian dishes is Mei Goreng, spicy fried noddles mixed with shrimps or fried egg.
