I asked my soul what is Delhi? And She replied: The world is the body and Delhi it’s soul. -Mirza Galib

Delhi is everything a capital should be. The place is so filled with everything right from the street food of Old Delhi to the sophistication of the parliament. Everything is so enriching. Most importantly the tourism industry is not to be undermined here. It houses three UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites in the city itself.
For those who don’t know, the country capital is not a part of any individual state. This city is one of the nine union territories of India. The city, unfortunately, does not make a first impression on the visitors because of the bad air quality and population. But believe me, you will love this city once you dive in deep.
In contrast, the country capital is a very green city with lush and leafy boulevards throughout. In other words, some philosophers say Delhi is Rome alike. The capital of modern India fits perfectly in its corporate and party dress code.

The most common hub for foreigners to land in the country are Mumbai and Delhi. Now since Mumbai lies in the extreme West it is not as accessible to other parts of the nation. Whereas, Delhi, on the other hand, is the central hub to travel to in all four directions. It grips high traveling traffic control to the entire nation. Most importantly, my personal favorite part the Nothern India is easily accessible through Delhi.
This city is all about Mughal History and architecture. The history here is so old that it is considered to be one of the oldest in the world. Likewise, British architecture is also admirable. Famous architectural designs like the India Gate, The Rashtrapati Bhavan, The Parliament, etc are constructed by the British.
Delhi is not just about history but also about food and amusement. Delhi houses some amazing Science centers and Amusement parks. Some are so huge that investing even an entire day wouldn’t help.
Similarly, a food trip to Delhi cannot be explained in words. The local street food of Old Delhi can make you lick your fingers for decades. Rabadi Jalebaa – one of my favorite sweet dish is much recommended on my behalf. It’s a shame if you happen to be here and not have Rabadi Jalebaa. You can check out the DELHI TASTE BUDS blog for more info on Delhi’s Food and Cuisine.

The food hunt will surely is like a loophole. You’ll always find something unique and better to eat than the other. Delhi Tourism has set up day tour buses if you wish to explore the creamy and most visited tourist destinations in a short amount of time.
Finding a place to stay is not a pain here. Obviously, it is the capital and has thousands of hotels ranging from 200 rupees per night to 2 lakh per night. Every option is available. Also, shopping plazas like Cannaught Place are very renowned. Similar to Cannaught Place, other immediate shopping centers like Karol Bagh, Sarojini, and Palika Bazaar offer huge discounted rates and affordable deals to shop.
