When it comes to food, Egyptian cuisine serves a heavy meal which is very delicious. However, some people in Egypt are vegetarian, grilled lamb and beef are frequently enjoyed by others. Although, Egyptian cuisine is said to be vegetarian originally due to the fact that meat was expensive back then. But as the country is urbanized, people can enjoy all kinds of cuisine in Egypt. 

Tea is said to be the national drink of the country and they blend it in many flavors to make a refreshing drink. Egyptian cuisine tends to have a Mediterranean influence on its platter. Shakshuka, a vegetarian dish made of veggies like tomatoes and onions and various aromatic spices is a traditional delicacy.

Umm Ali is a popular dessert in Egypt which is made of lots of dry fruits and cream. The grilled meat is usually enjoyed in lunch and there is always a refreshing end to the meal. You are served with a fresh mint tea after you have your food. This is a sort of food custom in Egypt.
