"You look around New York and we are surrounded by restaurants and food trucks, and we Celebrate Food in this City like there's no tomorrow!"
A subtle part of any journey or vacation is the food. And why not? They don’t say it but I totally believe an empty tummy is the devil’s workshop as well. Most of the stupid decisions, while traveling, are taken while your tummy is empty. I personally am a big-time foodie. I am not kidding, like seriously, every time I see something delicious I just run out to grab a bite irrespective of the time and money. There have been times when I even had a Dunkin Donut when my stomach was just close to being burst.

ONE TICKET PLEASE!
Hey Folks! I am Kaustubh! Founder of ‘One Ticket Please’ and I welcome you to my website. Here I present you with my travel experiences and adventures. To give exquisite details about the way to reach the destination and also pinpoint the ethnic attractions.
Getting back to the point here, I had some bad experiences with food and the decision taken on an empty stomach. That is to say, I usually avoid going to any unrecognized, underrated places. Instead, I do my research over food and not just the important sightseeing locations when I plan a visit to any particular place.

Explore U.S.A
The USA has stunning beaches and fascinating scenic views all the way long. Every state in the USA has unique destinations to offer you as a traveler.
So, recently I visited New York, and this blog is a brief guide to some must-try food joints I tried in New York City or just Manhattan as you might say. These places are all super-duper tasty. A bite will just open up those taste buds that have been clogged up for months. And moreover, they are One Ticket Please approved.
1. $1 Pizza
All of us want our vacation to be budget-friendly. The maximum part of the budget is generally spent on traveling and accommodation. On top of that, it’s New York. No one believes anything to be cheap in here. But lucky for you, the Two-Bros and ‘the best pizza’ got your back. On the busy streets of Manhattan are some small outlets of $1 pizza hidden under the shadow of the huge skyscrapers of 9th avenue is the tastiest pizza in NYC.
Well, a dollar is just going to buy you a slice of regular cheese pizza but the taste matters a lot. Like literally a pizza slice just a dollar, and that too in NYC broadway, are you kidding me?
Location: 748, 9th Avenue, NY
Price: $1 for cheese pizza
$2 for pepperoni
$3 for 2 slices and a soda
2. Food Trucks
Firstly, Manhattan life is a fast-track hustle. People barely find time to pass, and having a proper lunch or a dinner in a restaurant while sipping on that 5-star magnum coffee is never an option. To speed up this process corporate dwags’ often prefer to eat on Food trucks.
NYC is full of food trucks and you can find one parked on every corner of the street. Though I’ll prefer the ones on the busiest streets of lower manhattan. As the wall street food, trucks are amazing also the one under the H&M tower is nice. Similarly, the one in front of the American Museum of Natural History is tasty. I don’t know what the fact is, like, is the food really amazing or it’s just that a munch is always tasty when you are hungry?
Recommended: Chicken Gyro (kind of shawarma), Chicken over rice, Shrimp over rice, Falafel (for vegetarians), Onion Rings.
Price: $5 to $9
3. Los Tacos
Los Tacos is a Mexican outlet located on the busy streets of Times Square. I would say it is a hidden outlet because all the times I have been there I only saw New Yorkers slurping on a bite of that juicy tacos. And no outsiders at all. They serve the tastiest tacos in the city. Moreover, the Cactus taco or a Cactus bowl is a very different and new thing you can try out here in New York.
A limited number of options on the menu since they only serve Taco, Quesadilla, and burrito bowls. So, you have to precise about your choice of food. Now talking about me, I usually take all three items and that sums up to a little bit more than my regular dinner. I would definitely recommend the steak Quesadilla for meat lovers.
Location: Besides Hard Rock Cafe, Times Square, NY
Price: $3.99 for Tacos
$6.99 for Quesadilla and Bowls
Also, ask for a bag of chips. It’ll be a dollar or so.
4. Milk Bar
Now, Milk Bar is one of the most famous cafes in and around New York. But, similar to Los Tacos it is just known by the locals. It is, as the name says, is a milk cafe. That is to say because it serves all milk-related products meaning, cakes, cookies, ice creams, sundaes, and many more items.
Milk Bar is originally set up and founded by America’s renowned Pastry Chef Christina Tosi. Now you get why this place is so fancy. The best bite you can grab here is the bundle of cookies and the milk bar ice cream sundae. Some of them taste really nice. Actually, I am no one to judge a judge so better you go and ask for something nice to their staff itself. I bet you won’t regret a penny.
Location: Milk Bar Chelsea, 220 8th Ave, New York, and many other locations around NY city.
Price: $5 to $150.
Actually, cookies are cheap and the cake price depends on the order. They’ll even make you a cake worth 5 grand.
5. 230 fifth rooftop
230 fifth rooftop is a 20th-floor rooftop restaurant on 5th Avenue and is the largest outdoor garden rooftop in NYC. I know it sounds not that tall but the restaurant is often admired for its amazing view gallery and not the rooftop height. The restaurant houses almost 20 igloos during the winter and rain time and the rest of the summer is just regular outdoor dining. Most importantly, the viewing deck is surrounded by some super awe-aspiring iconic landmarks of the Manhattan skyline.
230 Fifth avenue is an exact location where you can see the Empire State building right a few blocks away. Super awesome isn’t it? And not to mention the food and drinks here. They serve a large variety of on-tap beer and some of which are especially New York brewed. $10 per person is a fair price for this amazing view.
Location: 5th Avenue, NY.
Price: $9 for any beer
Prices vary for food.
6. NY chopped cheese
Subsequently, you will find a ton of people praising the NY chopped cheese. It is a beef burger or a Sub sandwich that has been a traditional go-to food for busy New York life. Mostly these are served in a roadside Deli joint or as New Yorkers say it, ‘A Boudega’.
The NY chopped cheese is stuffed with roasted beef, loads of vegetables, cheese, and some mid-eastern sauces. People say it is one of the best meat sandwiches you will find in the entire state.
Location: Any Gas station or Deli corner
7. Kathi rolls at Indiktich
Kathi rolls are an Indian version of Gyro or a Shawarma and the only difference is the wrap. While Gyro or a Shawarma is wrapped in a Pita bread, Kathi rolls are wrapped in Paratha. Stuffing in these Kathi rolls at Indikitch will give you an authentic Indian flavor.
Variety options for stuffings are available like paneer, aalo, chicken, mutton (lamb), tikka, and kofta are available for every variety of customers. I was surprised to see such a huge rush of Americans waiting to have the Indian Kathi roll. Many other options other than just the Kathi rolls are available here. Lassi, Mango Lassi, Jaljeera, Aam Panna, Mango Pulp, etc are available here as beverages.
Location: Rockefeller Center, 1190 6th Ave, New York
Price: $6 to $11 for a 10 inch Kathi roll.
$5 for 300ml Mango Lassi
It is certain that New York offers the best scenic views but the best way to enjoy its melting pot is through the FOOD! There are people living here from various backgrounds and cultures. This diversity is clearly seen within its cuisine and flavorful food! These are some of the best food outlets that we feel everyone should visit once they arrive in New York.
